Dear Subscribers,
As a proper Swiss, I naturally spent Christmas in the mountains—because where else would one go to embrace the festive spirit? Unfortunately, my attempt at a scenic winter walk took an unexpected turn. Quite literally. On an unassuming patch of ice, I executed what can only be described as an entirely unspectacular slide, resulting in a broken leg.
For the medically inclined among you, it’s a “lateral tibial plateau split depression fracture.” For everyone else, let’s just call it a fancy way of saying I won’t be using my leg for 6-8 weeks. I am currently stationed at a rehabilitation center in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland—renowned for its charm, if not for its ice-free walking paths.
Here’s the rub: I don’t have access to my PC or the data needed to produce the usual in-depth, data-driven updates. I’ll do my best to share a few insights via chat if anything noteworthy catches my eye, but I kindly ask for your patience as I aim to deliver the next update in a fortnight.
Thank you for your understanding, and please—watch your step!
Warm regards,
Alexander
